Hip Hop Ain't Dead It Lives In The North Mixtape Vol. 3 x Scott Jackson x Bishop Brigante

Cool video by arguably Canada's best beatboxer, at least in our opinion - Scott Jackson. He flexes his skills and then does a drop for the upcoming It Lives In The North mixtape. Bishop Brigante talks about gambling and Scott's skills as a beatboxer.

The mixtape is in its final stages and will be released in the coming weeks. DJ Dames Nellas hosts and mixes the tape that follows the first two volumes released in 2009 and 2010.

It Lives In The North Sponsors KOTD "Black Out"

If somehow you're still unsure about King Of The Dot, this event could be the one that wins you over. I encourage you all to attend on January 22nd, because there is no shortage of heavy hitters and I plan to be front and center. It Lives In The North has long supported KOTD and works closely with their staff to collaborate whenever possible. Hence, the reason you'll often see someone wearing an It Lives In The North t-shirt or sweater in most battle videos.

This event features some battles few people ever thought they'd see happen in Canada. One of those is a main event Pat Stay vs Arsonal, orchestrated by Bishop Brigante who in the battle world is now going under the moniker "Don King Brigante." Check out the names, YouTube their battles and you'll see what I'm talking about. No boost, this event should be epic.

It Lives In The North Sponsors Gordonridge Community Holiday Dinner

It Lives In The North reps Bizz, Scott Jackson and Redz attended the Gordonridge Community Holiday Dinner on December 18th to celebrate the Christmas season. Gordonridge is a neighbourhood in Scarborough near the Midland and Danforth area that is greatly supported by a group called Youth Becoming Something (YBS), who initiated the dinner.

While adults and children of all ages ate their free dinner, prepared by dedicated volunteers from the area, Scott Jackson entertained the crowd with his jaw-dropping beatbox skills. Once dinner concluded, several draws awarded a few lucky kids new toys provided by It Lives In The North. The energy was on high as Jackson continued his showmanship and gathered more than a dozen children at the front of the gymnasium for a dance competition. The winners received candy-filled gift baskets provided by Sweet Treats. It Lives In The North t-shirts were also given out to lucky diners who found promotional flyers attached to the bottom of their plates.

Shout out to Mike Opoku and Redz for coordinating It Lives In The North's participation in this event. We hope this will be the first of many community events we can be a part of.

Cheers!
